Easter Fun

We had a lot of fun this year, Gavin is at such an exciting age where he truly is excited for all the festivities.

We started the week by coloring eggs with Paige. Gavin got a sticker dye set and Paige got a glitter dye set.

On Saturday evening we took Gavin to see the Easter bunny. (Paige was at her moms). While in line, he was squealing with joy! Once it was his turn he was a little nervous but ended up smiling for the camera.

Sunday morning he got to see what the Easter bunny brought him, he called it his "Easter bucket".

Then we headed to church, had lunch, took a nap, then it was egg hunt time! We took a little stroll to the park afterwards, then did some bubbles. It was such a pretty day! We finished our day with ham and guac sandwiches, a Mexican tradition on my moms side. Yummy!

Tonight we had Paige so she got to open her "bucket" and then we had another hunt.

Another Easter in the books! He is Risen!

Balloon Boy

Gavin's been a little under the weather and he got a special delivery the other night...a bouquet of balloons!

I've never seen such pure joy, he was over the moon saying "Come on balloons, lets go!" And the first thing out of his mouth in the mornings or when we pick him up from daycare is "I wanna see my balloons!"

As I type this, he is rolling them around in his dump truck. There is one casualty, one got away and is on the ceiling, which is 21 feet high or something ridiculous like that. So we aren't able to reach it, yet he keeps yelling at it "Balloon get down here! I can't reach you!" Lol.

What a great pick me up for him, and a lot of great photo opps to remember it by.

Predators

Gavin and Charlie are scoping out a victim outside, do you see the bunny? So funny. They both want to catch him for different reason, of course!

Prom and St. Patrick's Day- Kearney Style

We headed off to Kearney on Friday to meet up with my friends and Steve's Iowa friends. We went out Friday night and then I spent Saturday with my sister Akaela getting her ready for her Senior prom. I then went and met up with everyone to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. What a good weekend! Here are some pics.

Nuggets/Knicks

I was the lucky winner of some awesome Nuggets tickets at work, and last night Steve and I went and watched as Melo came back to town. He was booed every time he touched the ball!

But the seats were on the floor, three rows back! I could literally smell the B.O.! Haha! The Nuggets won by a ton, so we left early and relieved the sitter. It was fun!

Tomorrow we are off to Kearney. It's my little sister's senior prom, so I'm going to help her get ready. Steve's friends from Iowa are also meeting us in Kearney. It's halfway between their town and ours, so we started the tradition last year of meeting in Kearney for St. Patrick's Day. Should be fun!

Snow Fun

We had what was supposed to be the storm of the year yesterday...and it left us with some really wet snow and a beautiful day today!

Since I picked up some snow pants for Gavin on clearance a couple weeks ago, we figured it was time for his first snow man. He was more than excited to go play in the snow!

He and Daddy made snow angels, a snow man, tasted some snow, and just played! Here are some pics...and yes, Gavin's wearing his sisters pink mittens! :)
